It doesn’t get much more local and sustainable than this. Sunday morning we went to pick up our eggs and meet the ladies who provide them. Toddler Harbat enjoyed meeting the ladies.
I know the names of all the hens who provide my eggs, their breeds, and I’ve seen how they live (quite well). It feels good to know the path from production to table is so short and so well-managed. And aren’t these pretty?
I’ll be having some tonight for dinner and will report back on taste. I don’t know if you can taste happiness, but I know these birds experience it.
